To be successful in the role we would expect you have all / most of the following:

• Experience as a commercial skilled painter (Minimum 3 years, 5+ years preferred), with time as a Foreman running small projects is preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to manage expectations with the customer
• Ability to provide a quality finish within the allocated hours to an acceptable standard.
• Sound knowledge of your trade and the products / tools associated
• The ability to train and up skill apprentices and semi-skilled workers preferred
• Understanding of and ability to train and up skill to adhere to health and safety requirements
• Full drivers licence

Industrial Flooring

J L Connolly Ltd is able to offer customers a selection of industrial floor systems. The range of floor finishes available today is extensive. These systems must be aesthetically pleasing while meeting the performance needs of the most demanding environment. Our products have been specially chosen to meet a range of needs, and include non-slip and heavy-duty flooring. We will undertake every task from minor repairs to large applications We are registered applicators of Nuplex resins, Sika Flooring and work with many other excellent floor coating systems. Sureshield, Terrazite, Nuthane, Sikafloor, Rockbind.

HEALTH SAFETY & THE ENVIRONMENT

J L Connolly Ltd takes the health and safety of each individual in the vicinity of the worksite very seriously. All contracts commence with the completion of our Job Safety Plan.

We are members of Site Safe New Zealand with all members of our team trained in site safety. All supervisors have achieved Gold Card status. 

The environmental impact of paint is diverse. Traditional painting materials and the processes can have harmful effects on the environment, including those from the use of lead and other additives.

J L Connolly, take measures to reduce environmental impact. These include:

• Accurately estimating paint quantities so that wastage is minimized
• Use of paints, coatings, painting accessories and techniques that are environmentally preferred.
• We use and recommend the Dulux Envirowash System – converting dirty wash water into clean water and disposing of the solids in the appropriate manner.

Lynda Aukino
Lynda has joined our team as our Health and Safety Officer. She brings a happy and positive attitude to the sites and has the team actively engaged in health and safety matters.
She has qualifications in Managing Workplace Safety (IOSH) and ICAM Investigation.
